Intralesional bleomycin in palmoplantar and periungual warts: a therapeutic study

<p class="abstract"><strong>Background:</strong> Warts are one of the most common benign growths skin caused by human papilloma virus. No single treatment has proved to be completely effective and therapies for palmo-plantar periungual warts remain unsatisfactory. The present study was conducted evaluate therapeutic efficacy safety intralesional bleomycin injection in patients region south east India.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Methods:</strong> Ninety multiple were included study. They infiltrated with (1 mg/ml) till blanching. repeated after paring eschar at 2 weeks interval cases partial or no response. reviewed monthly 24 note cure, adverse effects, recurrence outcome satisfaction levels. </p><p class="abstract"><strong>Results:</strong> Out total 305 warts, 103 (34%) cured 1st 249 (82%) 2nd injection. number requiring more than sittings 55 (18%). At end study, overall cure rate 94.5% 10 showed recurrence.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Conclusions:</strong> Intralesional is an safe option warts.</p>
